The home of the Crispy, Curly Pepperoni is known and loved in many parts of California, and there are still many Mountain Mike’s Pizza territories available throughout the state and beyond. We have locations in Utah, Nevada and Oregon, and we want to extend our reach there and also establish our brand in Washington and Arizona.
With nearly 200 units, Mountain Mike’s is one of the largest regional pizza chains around. We’re looking to expand smartly, and to that end we’re planning to grow in the Western states where we already have some brand presence and recognition. We hope to add 100 more units in California alone over the next 5-7 years.
If you’ve been looking for a pizza franchise for sale in the Western U.S., look no further. In addition to our many available open territories, we also have resales opportunities.
The first Mountain Mike’s Pizza restaurant was established in 1978 in Palo Alto, CA, and we’ve grown into a beloved brand since. We’re known for delicious, high-quality pizza using the freshest and finest ingredients; our family-oriented atmosphere; being the sports fans’ pizzeria of choice; and for being strong advocates and partners in our local communities.
For first-time business owner Goldie Buttar, buying a Mountain Mike’s for sale in Fremont, CA, in 2002 was one of the smartest moves he ever made. He went in 50-50 with his uncle, who was an existing franchisee at the time. Today, Buttar owns five franchises in Fremont, Milpitas and Belmont.
“New locations take some time to grow, but with existing locations you can get some kind of money in your pocket right away,” says Buttar.
His second Fremont location was also a resale opportunity, and when he took it over, the restaurant was doing about $38,000-$40,000 in monthly sales, Buttar says. And in 2019? Buttar says sales are up dramatically.
Mountain Mike’s is committed to maintaining our strong unit-level economics. We want to achieve growth in our core markets with the right franchise partners for single-unit and multi-unit opportunities.
